There’s something people don’t talk about enough when you get older.

Made From Joy didn’t begin because life suddenly became easy. It began in the middle of real life — while balancing work, marriage, responsibilities, stress, long days, and moments of wondering if I was completely crazy for trying to start a business at this stage in life.

Some days I work all day, come home exhausted, and still spend hours working on shirts, designs, orders, posts, or ideas late into the night.

Some days I question myself.

Some days I feel discouraged when things don’t grow as fast as I hoped.

And some days I feel incredibly proud that I didn’t give up on myself.

Because this business became more than just apparel.

It became proof that life doesn’t stop at 50.
Dreams don’t expire at 50.
Creativity doesn’t disappear at 50.
Purpose doesn’t end at 50.

In many ways, I think women over 50 are just getting started.

We’ve lived enough life to understand what really matters. We’ve survived hard seasons. We’ve learned how strong we actually are. And we’ve realized that joy is not something we should wait around for someday.

We deserve to create it now.

Being a wife while building a business comes with its own challenges too. There are sacrifices, long nights, conversations about risks, moments of exhaustion, and moments where support means everything.

But there’s also something beautiful about building something from the ground up together — even imperfectly.

Made From Joy was created from real life. Not perfection. Not endless free time. Not having everything figured out.

Just heart.
Faith.
Hope.
And the willingness to try anyway.
